What to Do – Complementary with APIRA
Before the Fire:
Clean a 10m radius around the house
Prune trees so they do not touch the building
Remove flammable objects and wood from the area
Close chimneys and vents with fireproof materials
Ensure access for fire vehicles (e.g., open gate)
Check and maintain water tank & hoses, with an emergency pump
Apply the APIRA Wildfire Protection Solution
During the Fire:
Emergency phones: 199, 112
Close natural gas/electricity
Close all doors, windows, and openings (chimney)
Facilitate access for firefighters
After the Fire:
Extinguish small hotspots, check for 48 hours (e.g., weekly or every 12 hours)
Check around the house again for reignitions
Remove ashes (with mask & protective gear) — as recommended by EODY
Avoid rewetting the ash with water, clean with a damp cloth and not with a vacuum cleaner
